Artist Statement

In a world saturated with images and noise, I believe art should be a conversation—a spark for transformation. My work blends intricate pen and ink with surreal, nature-inspired forms, exploring movement, metamorphosis, and the quiet power of observation.

Killing Time, 2023, pen and ink on paper, 59.4cm x 84.1cm

Each piece is both a mirror and a window: reflecting my search for meaning and inviting viewers to pause, question, and connect. Drawn to the expressive potential of line, I illuminate the beauty and complexity of the human spirit, guided by a fascination with transformation and the ambiguity of perception.

Eagle Eyed, 2024, pen and ink on paper, 21cm x 29.7cm

Through detailed mark-making and ambiguous forms, I create spaces where beauty emerges from uncertainty and wonder is found in the everyday. My art is an offering—rooted in lived experience—encouraging others to look more closely, embrace ambiguity, and discover meaning beyond the visible. It is a reminder that change is possible, and there is always more to see.
