Biography
Natalie Egger, Austrian artist, born in Innsbruck, currently residing in Vienna, is engaged in various creative fields such as photography, digital art, acrylic painting and pencil drawing. She has been making art intensively since 2015, but only after graduating from the University of Applied Arts Vienna she feels brave enough to show her art to a wider audience by participating in several group exhibitions mainly in Vienna, publishing her own artbook with 111 of her works, having her own art website and posting her drawings and paintings on a regular basis on Instagram.
She gets most of the inspiration for her digital artworks from snapshots of random things she encounters while strolling through her hometown or on her travel trips. Her fascination with the human face and body and its various forms of expression is reflected in her acrylic paintings and pencil drawings.

Artist Statement
In this series of artworks I focused on the ambiguity between Mother Nature and our technical, modern life and humanity's attempt to combine both worlds.
The source material for this series of digital artworks are snapshots from my recent trip to Denmark.
As always, I put different photos together and create something completely new and surprising. In my artwork "contradictio naturae", for example, I combined a photo of a subway station in Copenhagen with a small hill in a suburb area on the island of Zealand, which reflects the contradiction between the busy and unconscious life in modern capitalism and the strong longing of every human being to link with her/his inner self by connecting with nature.
