Biography

I was born in the lovely city of Paphos in Cyprus and I am a self-taught artist. I studied Business Administration and Hotel Management but I ended working in our family textiles business. At the age of 28 I started creating art as an internal necessity and a way to communicate my worries for the world and express my psychosynthesis at the time of creation. I am continually experimenting with combining strong colours, trying to express strong emotions through colour on my canvases. My work is an exploration of the human essence in its most stripped-back, spiritual form.

The Gathering of Light 2025

My paintings have an expressionistic use of colour and line, and emotional intensity. I need to feel free, to express myself the way that makes me happy at that moment of my creation. My art reflects my journey through life, being creative and as a self-taught artist I understood the power that one has inside to self-develop, to boost his confidence and achieve his goals if he really believes in himself, it works as psychotherapy for self-improvement. I draw inspiration from colours, seeing life through them and from people's emotions, emotions that are born through silence, pain, joy, and this is mostly reflected on my portraits and my elongated figures.

Lunar Blessing 2025

I gained recognition in my country after being featured in art magazines and the Cyprus press several times. I was also featured in The New Protagonists of Contemporary Art magazine and the World Wide Art Book volume 5, and was one of the winners in three online contests, and my artworks were published in international online magazines.

Women's Solidarity 2022

I participated physically in over 35 exhibitions in Cyprus, The ARTEXPO New York, in England, Greece and Italy and virtually in SWISSARTEXPO . During an exhibition in London in 2017 my artwork was voted by public one of the top 12 artworks and it is permanently featured on the website of the organisers.

Celebrating Friendship 2022

Artist Statement

My work explores the intersection of spirituality and raw human emotion, primarily through a series of abstract figures and representational portraiture. By focusing on the 'internal light' of my subjects—whether human or animal—I seek to unveil the 'naked soul.'

Women's Talk 2018

My practice balances the psychological depth of oil painting with the expressive immediacy of acrylics, aiming to create a visual dialogue between silence and intensity. Each piece is a journey toward catharsis, inviting the viewer to find a moment of stillness and connection in an ever-changing world.
