Artist Statement

Art is a universal language. It transcends boundaries. It allows us to communicate, find meaning and experience the world…together. I picked up my first paintbrush in May of 2020, hoping to bring light back to a world darkened by the pandemic. Choosing to reflect upon and interpret the beauty that remained, I thought I had discovered a very private way to express myself. It just did not remain private for long. By July, two of my paintings were on exhibit in Europe.
When I began painting, it did not occur to me that sales and international recognition would be part of my artistic experience. I painted because there were feelings, and thoughts, I needed to express without judged. But, as I opened myself up to the idea of spreading the beauty by letting it go, the international response was overwhelming. I now have a modern art portfolio in which every painting is an international award winner. I have work on permanent exhibit in France at Le Musée de Peinture de Saint-Frajou, and I was named a World Master Artist by leading organizations.
I have heard my paintings are magical—that they somehow change completely, depending upon the angle of your gaze. This makes perfect sense. For, I believe that, as with life, the meaning in my work depends upon the way you look at it.
I have been told my style is distinctive, such that when people see my work, they recognize it as mine. Hearing this is liberating, for I can only become a necessary addition to the art world by being who I am. We do not need more of the same. We need to explore the unfamiliar.
So, it is my goal that when you look at one of my paintings, it captures your eye, captures your interest, and creates an intrigue and value that differs from what you usually see and feel. By encouraging each of you to use your imagination as the lens through which to find meaning in my work, I hope to share a truly inspirational journey. For my dream is, that by translating the colors of my world into the universal language of art, I can help promote unity and inspire all People to celebrate the beauty in life.
