“I became aware that I have a responsibility for what I release into the world around me. Artists used to be educators. My desire is to take a step back to a time when art was subservient to its spiritual and pedagogical purpose.”

For me, painting is like water in a desert, quenching my thirst under the scorching sun. Whether I live to paint or paint to live, I constantly ask myself. The mysteries within my paintings are ones I probably won't solve even if I live for another hundred years. Every day, I hold my brush at a set time, hoping to get closer to those answers, even if just a little, in my remaining time.

For me it is natural to see ‘things’ in nature, in a stone, in a dry or burnt tree and then give it form and soul. For me it is normal to spend hours in my forest creating new installations, or tending to the present ones, subjected to the inclement weather, and it is easy to explain the motto chosen at the beginning of the artistic path created in my garden, which, taken from an opera by Verdi, says; ‘it is either a joke or madness’.
For quite some time I have been concerned with the topic of justice, which I express in pictures on social, political and religious questions. For this I have developed my own transparent expressionistic style.

Since I was a child I felt trapped in my own tower, full of imagination. I observe the world differently, as a creator, not a simple passenger. Everyday seems to be a different story. I created my own world, where my destiny seats. I can travel with my mind everywhere. Nothing can stop me from following my dreams. In my world, nothing is impossible.
All my paintings come with poems that "read" the paintings. It is not a definition-like reading, but open and alive (hopefully), as all art is. Looking at art is like trying to understand your life through beauty. And I agree: It is the right thing to do. Your individual sense of beauty goes much deeper into the truth than any analysis. Art making and viewing, when done with awareness of how our sense of beauty is responding, is healing, both psychologically and spiritually. It even has an effect on health.
The purpose of my work is to conjure up the perceptions of childhood. The act of painting a picture is, in essence, an innocent and childlike act of blind faith. As children we sensed, with an uncorrupted consciousness, that the universe is infinitely marvelous. When our awareness comes from a place of wonder and discovery, our experience becomes extraordinary.
My works are emotional, intuitive, evocative and passionate. And the statements of my works are different: with some pictures I just want to express a passionate joy in the beauty of life and the beauty of art and celebrate this happiness with gratitude.
When one begins a painting, there are an almost infinite number of possibilities open to the artist thanks to the researches in art of the last century. It seems to me that in this century people are intent on narrowing down the options for the artist until his or her life is made nearly impossible. Art is more than a commodity; for some it is a way of life, for others it gives release from the stresses of the everyday or offers a form of therapy.
My paintings are numbered chronologically to remind us that they constitute a journey and a family. Each painting is a journey or a thought, it is named and commented on. I want each painting to be the repository of beneficial energy.

His work from Finnmark contains an combination of the nature and post-war architecture. The motives contains an feelings of emptiness and decay, where the nature plays a role that you can get a glimmer of in the window reflection, or from inside-out.
In my photos I favor compositional harmony, chromatic sense and the infinite variations of nature. I try to capture the beauty of landscapes, the liveliness of city life but I often portray details that strike me. Close-ups and masks have always fascinated me because they reveal the essence of the person being portrayed. My works often focus on sea or mountain landscapes and try to capture particular moments or unusual scenarios. My love for cinema and art has influenced my style.
