Biography

Elsa Egon is a pseudonym. She grew up in Naples (born in 1981). After graduating in architecture, she moved to France.
A self-taught artist, she worked with different materials and techniques. Then, during the Covid crisis, she started making portraits. They are oil paintings on canvas.
After a first solo exhibition in Naples, 2008, she was a finalist in the 2017 award of 44 ideas for viadellafucina16 in Turin. One of the 40 finalists for the CBM Art Prize led to an exhibition in Turin and then at the Českých Center in Prague. The online curator, Madja Edelstein-Gomez, selected her work for Les Recombinants Exposition International presented for the first time at Art O Rama. She shows her art by participating in calls and exhibitions such as Paratissima 15 Multiversity in Turin, Salon d'Automne in Paris. With ITSLIQUID GROUP he participated in International Art Fair 2020 in Venice and Canvas London International Art Fair Mixing Identities & Barcelona Contemporary Art Fair.
Her latest works have been published in Artist Talk Magazine in issues 14 and 15 and The New Artist, by BOOMER gallery in London.
She participated in Every Woman Biennal, presented in New York at Superchief Gallery NFT.
