Biography

As much a painter as a photographer, I have used my explosive colorist skills for the past fifty-five years.

I hand-painted layers of retouching dyes onto Cibachrome prints, altering reality into something romantic, fantastic, and otherworldly.

I now scan my one-of-a-kind hand-painted prints and lifetime collection of Kodachrome slides from my world travels, then enhance, collage, and paint them with Photoshop to express my idyllic vision.

My images surprise and intrigue, acting as a springboard into compelling flights of fancy and new visual realities.

Artist Statement

My love of color and composition, combined with my unique vision and my creative innovation makes viewing my artwork truly joyful and engaging.

I have been a full-time artist for over 50 years, making my art with photographs I have taken during my world travels, with my colorful imagination, and the magic of Photoshop.

I began as a painter, evolving into a photographer, and ultimately pioneering hand-painting on individual Cibachrome prints over 40 years ago.

I created a new colorful idyllic reality long before Photoshop existed. I was waiting for Photoshop for many years.

My artwork is collected in countless private, museum and corporate collections, as well as many public spaces, art galleries, international art expos, magazines, books, and online internet sites.
