Biography

I have been drawing, painting and photographing for over 50 years. In recent years, there has been a lot of digital graphics as well.

I am a qualified assistant professor at (at the time Stavanger University of Education) where the last year of the 3 was art and crafts. In 2008, I took additional education in art and crafts at UIS (30 credits). I have a total of 75 credits in Art and Crafts.

I have been trained in watercolor painting by Edward Økland, drawing and painting by Reidar Berge and drawing, ceramics and graphics by Per Odd Aarrestad, who I also had as a study guide at HIS in 1977/78.

I am a member of NFUK (NORWEGIAN ASSOCIATION FOR INDEPENDENT ARTISTS), which has admissions twice a year, where the jury consists of 2 professional artists and 2 from BKF.

I am currently working with the contrasts of movement and silence. Absolute silence is something few people in the Western world have experienced. I try to convey the positives of both elements in my works.
