Biography

Marie-Ghislaine Beaucé, born in 1951, is a French artist currently active in London. At the National School of Fine Arts in France and during the years she spent working as an artisan in interior design, she understood the artistic potential of textile fibers.

Since 2015 she has participated in many exhibitions, not only as an exhibiting member at The Hampstead School of Art and at Phoenix contemporary Textile Group in Britain, but also as an independent artist through international galleries. She is the recipient of many prestigious International Art Prizes.

Artist Statement

Marie-Ghislaine Beaucé is an artist whose journey is deeply rooted in her fascination with textile materials and their artistic potential. Her exploration of different textures, colours, and forms has led her to develop a distinct visual language that merges the tactile quality of textiles with the conceptual rigour of geometric abstraction.
