CAT'S EYE, 2025 by Gayle Printz, Acrylic on Linen, 40.64 cm High by 50.8 cm Wide
Though often compared to the great masters of abstractionism, Printz’s paintings are expressed in a distinctly original voice. While she embodies the essence of spontaneity, Printz uses instinct and passion as her guides. Following her heart, Printz fearlessly explores unfiltered creativity with an intention clearly transmitted through the depth, power and physical bearing of her artwork. Printz’s paintings are profound. But because she believes the importance of any artwork is based on the emotion it evokes, Printz will neither define her intent nor intrude upon our journey to find what makes her work important to us. Immersed in a world that compels us to penetrate the depths of our imaginations, we find ourselves unraveling finely nuanced symbolism and textured layers of color to capture the universal and personal significance below the surface. From delicate lines of intricate detail to bold brushstrokes of vibrant color, every element of Printz’s work is carefully crafted to summon each of us to find meaning in a world where we can never be wrong.

(1) Technical innovation contained by the natural sense of balance, control, and energy that distinguishes Printz’s work from that of anyone who came before her,
(2) The complex movement of intricately expressive brushstrokes, pulsating chromatics, and highly contoured tiers of three-dimensionality, through which new imagery magically appears as we change the angle of our gaze,
(3) Intense layers of rhythm, movement and gesture created through the synergistic effects of vibrantly blending unconventional colors to somehow create a meditative harmony within us, and
(4) The unbridled creativity and innate sensitivity to create a serene spiritual intensity that impels us to analyze, and assign personal meaning to, universally resonating themes of profound emotional depth.

CITYSCAPE, 2025 by Gayle Printz, Acrylic on Canvas, 40.64 cm High by 50.8 cm Wide
Art is a universal language. It transcends boundaries. It allows us to communicate, find meaning and experience the world together. In May of 2020, during the height of the pandemic, I picked up my first paintbrush to bring light to a world darkened by the pandemic. My uniquely recognizable style caught the attention of the international art community and, two months later, my paintings were on exhibit in Europe. By November of 2020, my work was added to the permanent physical exhibit of Le Musée de Peinture de Saint-Frajou in France. My paintings have since won thousands of international art prizes and awards, been in countless worldwide solo, physical, and group exhibitions, and are the subject of leading global publications. Now a World Master Artist, I am considered one of the most important contemporary artists of our time.
SERENITY, 2025 by Gayle Printz, Acrylic on Linen, 50.8 cm High by 40.64 cm Wide
It is said that I rose to international fame and cemented my place in the art history books by composing an unrivaled, historically significant, visual language. My paintings speak a language never-before spoken. It is a universal language layered with meaning and a dynamic figuration that changes before your eyes. It is a language of unsurpassed emotional depth expressed through an innate technical skill. It is a language that exposes a uniquely recognizable artistic style so unprecedented that it screamed for a genre of its own. It is a language heard by the world’s leading art experts, who responded by defining that artistic genre as Modern Abstractionism to capture the impact of my artistic voice. It is a language that led the contemporary art world to name me the “Founder of Modern Abstractionism.”
PASSAGE, 2025 by Gayle Printz, Acrylic on Canvas, 40.64 cm High by 50.8 cm Wide
The “Founder of Modern Abstractionism” differs vastly from other names I have been called. The truth is my artwork is so unconventional it could never fit within the confines of any existing genre. There is no box in which to place it. And, with no way to categorize my work, the international art community tried to categorize me…by calling me names: “An Artist Without Boundaries” and a “Rule-breaker.” Although my style matches nothing ever seen, at the time, breaking the rules was not my intent. It may have been more accurate to label me an “Unintentional rule-breaker.” Unintentional? Yes, because as an artist without training, I am simply unaware of the rules. I am a blank slate who came to life in a world where the infinite potential of creation trumped pre-established rules. And, in a world without rules, the artistic possibilities are endless.
PEACEFUL, 2025 by Gayle Printz, Acrylic on Linen, 50.8 cm High by 40.64 cm Wide
In truth, the names I was called may have challenged me to explore my inner artistic rebel to reveal what is inside of me—Modern Abstractionism, a new genre that captures the unique visual language expressed by my style, range, and diversity. My painting style was never an exact science. Using an immense amount of paint, I quickly became famous for my ability to seamlessly cross artistic genres. My paintings blend abstractionism, modernism, impressionism, expressionism, and genres reminiscent of the 19th Century Masters. Fearlessly losing myself as I work, I am able to create paintings distinctly my own. Color, movement, and texture are the focus of my composition as I explore where the paint takes me.
EMERALD, 2025 by Gayle Printz, Acrylic on Linen, 30.48 cm High by 30.48 cm Wide Presented in a Diamond Shape
My work is defined by the palpable sense of freedom with which I paint. My liberal use of unconventional colors, deliberate movement to convey abstract concepts, and deeply textured layers of three-dimensionality mixed with innovative brushwork, reveal a compelling, yet subtly distinctive imagery. Use your imagination as the lens through which to assign meaning, and you will find the magic for which I am famous: my paintings allow new imagery to appear as you study each piece. As with life, the meaning in my work depends upon the way you look at it.

Modern Abstractionism encompasses emotionally eloquent textures mixed with compelling brushstrokes that draw you into an extraordinary new world. AMORE, 2025 by Gayle Printz, Acrylic on Linen, 91.44 cm High by 60.96 cm Wide by 3.82 cm Deep
My paintings are universally relevant, personally inspiring, and thought-provoking. There is profound universal and personal meaning expressed in each work. But because I believe the importance of any work of art is based upon the emotion it evokes, I will neither define that meaning nor intrude upon your journey to find what makes each painting significant to you. There are no answers I am trying to convey. I am simply hoping to give you the uninterrupted freedom to feel and experience the world in unanticipated ways. For my paintings arouse deeply-personal emotional revelations within all who experience them—from collectors looking to own a piece of art history, to art lovers eager to surround themselves with the consummate beauty, humanity, and personal inspiration expressed through Modern Abstractionism.
GENESIS, 2024 by Gayle Printz, Acrylic on Canvas, 35.56 cm High x 45.72 cm Wide
Art has the potential to inspire change and contemplation. But, in my case, change and contemplation inspired art. Reflecting upon the beauty that remained in a world interrupted, my paintings are the result of a life-changing pandemic shared by all of us. By translating the colors of my world into the universal language of art, I hope to provide meaning, light and universal connection. For when we embrace the unfamiliar, there is a richness and tranquility that can fill our collective soul and inspire all People to celebrate the beauty in life.
