Artist Spotlight - Ferdy Steger
Biography
Since the age of eight, painting has been my way of understanding and expressing the world. From the age of eighteen, I have exhibited my work both nationally and internationally, always with the same foundation: color as a source of strength, joy, and warmth.
SplitSecond, acryl on canvas, 100x140cm, 2023
My paintings are characterized by the vibrant use of bold colors. They serve as a counterbalance to the threats, wars, and hatred that overshadow our world. I want to create a space where the viewer can experience light and pleasure, while also being invited to drift away and let their imagination take over.
Listening, acryl on canvas, 110x150cm, 2023
Art must challenge, move, and connect. In my work, I search for that balance between expressive energy and openness, offering room for the viewer’s own interpretation. This way, each painting becomes not only my story, but also the story of the one standing before it.
Madness, acryl on canvas, 30x40cm, 2022
