Feb 5 Artist Spotlight - Camilla Fransrud

Biography

Nearly self taught, she had art classes with the well known Icelandic Sculptor Erlingur Jonsson as an art Teacher at sixth form college (1990-1993).

Calmness of my Heart -acrylic -2025-30*30 cm

She works primarily in acrylic, creating abstract and figurative pieces inspired by the sea and surrounding landscapes. Her dreamlike works invite viewers to reflect on their own emotions and sense of connection with nature .

She started to paint professionally in 2017, but started her artistic career with her canon camera at a early age. She could stand at the beach for hours as a 7 year old just to capture the perfect picture and moment.

Camilla Fransrud write also poetry, and in mid March 2026 her poetry - collection will be released. She has exhibited in Palermo, London, Roma, Manilla, Paris, Tuscany, Oslo, Trondheim, Toronto, New York, Madrid, Barcelona and Stockholm.
