Artist Statement

I Create to Create Myself. Through my artwork I become closer to who I really am. My awareness of my deeper emotions, sometimes issues and blockades, was increasing from the moment I started to paint. During this proces I aware so much of the impact of my own paintings that I realized I create to create myself! Its a beautiful, sometimes hard, but always a strong proces of understanding life. It’s a big gift if other people recognize themselves looking at my art and say “it touches my soul”.

I use Acrylic paint on professional linen on aluminium frames.
My technique is specific by using the Princeton catalyst only as a tool, giving the structure and the colors a special effect. I like to use the background colors as a part in the realisation of the portrait.

My style is only changing by improvements, arising during the proces of working. Important for my style is the connection between the images, the titles and the appearance of each piece of artwork.
