Interview with Harry T. Burleigh

Harry T. Burleigh was initially inspired to sketch as a youngster when he saw the uniqueness in the designs on record album covers. Several years later, he attended his first art class as a junior in high school, where his teacher saw that he had a developing talent and encouraged him keep sharpening his skills. Many of these skills he sharpened in the margins of his notebooks during chemistry class.

I'm the 3r I d child out of five. Our parents have been emotionally challenged as we almost all brought along a period of worries. I myself for example got seriously stuck at birth and had an accident at the age of 9 through which I got into a coma. I came out of it three weeks later and had to learn how to speak and walk again. I don't know which of the two situations made that I could not be a great student such as my brothers and sisters. I was smart, but to slow to keep up with the standards of others.

Interview with Begoña Lafuente

Begoña Lafuente lives and works as an artist near the Northern sea in The Netherlands. Born, raised and educated in Spain - She moved to Alkmaar, North Holland, in 2009 with her husband and two daughters. ​Her career began after graduating from The Fine Art University in Madrid in 1992, after which she became a graphic designer and illustrator for multiple corporal identity, branding, and technology companies. Nowadays she is a multidisciplinary artist who enjoys the process of experimenting with media and different techniques ( photography, scannographies, monoprints). Her most predominant field is, however, painting, where her acrylics and inks often involve collages.

Interview with Misa Aihara

I was born in 1942 in Ibaraki prefecture, Japan and graduated from Joshibi Univ. of Art & Design, Tokyo. I have exhibited my works in numerous solo or group exhibitions since the early 1970's in Japan, all over Europe and in USA. I also participated in Art Biennial exhibitions in Florence, and London. I received Art awards from Chianciano Art Museum in Italy, The Global Art Awards and so on.

Interview with Per-Inge Isheden

Per-Inge Isheden was born in a small countryside town in the middle of Sweden. He started painting while still a child, inspired by his mother who was an amateur artist.He studied at the Konstfackskolan in Stockholm 1957-61.After working 13 years as an art teacher, 1961-74, he started his career as a professional artist by creating a science fiction cartoon for adults. As a professional artist he has regularly showed his works at galleries and art fairs in Stockholm and other places in Sweden, in Berlin, Copenhagen and London. 2018 he will exhibit in Vienna.

Interview with Daria Domnikova

Daria Domnikova is a designer, artist, illustrator and a maker of all things beautiful and useful. She was born in Pyatigorsk, Russia, and immigrated to Canada to pursue education in design and art when she was 18. She’s been working as a freelance illustrator and graphic designer since graduating from Ontario College of Art and Design University with a Bachelor’s degree in Illustration and is currently living and working in Toronto, Canada.
