Daniela Ament
Biography
I was born into a family that loved all kinds of art, from books and music to dance, theater, painting, photography, and sculpture. As a child, I was always making something with my hands, working with wood, paper, and cloth. Later, I began embroidery, knitting, and appliqué, creating pillows and Halloween-like costumes.
At the age of 50, I started a private class in ceramic sculpting. Three years later, I allowed myself to call myself a sculptress.
I have had exhibitions all over Israel and around the world, including Paris, France; Florence, Venice, and Ferrara, Italy; Vancouver, Canada; Miami, San Diego, and New York City, USA; and Hungary.
My primary themes are what I know best - my feelings, thoughts, and experiences, mostly through the images I know best: children and women.
My work is something that comes from my inner self. I create because I have to; my inner self has to. I enjoy my work, and I love it.
I appear in several books from around the world, and I have received several prizes.

My Way
The lines, the colors, the statues
Are symbols of sensations, thoughts, senses, and feelings.
All these are present here - as parts of me - as parts of a riddle.
This is my way of conversing with myself and with the world around me.
This is my way of trying to participate in the experiences along my way.
