Artist Statement

How My Visual Language Was Born My visual language was born out of a quest. Long before I found my own voice, I sought to understand the questions that have accompanied humankind since time immemorial — who we are, where we come from, and what our place is in the universe.

Classical mythology became one of the first paths through which I transformed those questions into images, until it ceased to be merely a subject and became a language of its own. Without consciously choosing them, symbols began to emerge naturally within my watercolors, each adding a new layer of meaning. The questions have never changed; only the way I express them continues to evolve.

Symbolism in My Watercolors
In my watercolors, every element carries meaning — symbolism is the language I use to convey something that goes beyond the visible. It speaks directly to the unconscious, transcending cultural and linguistic barriers, and expresses the hidden meaning of things.

Nature is one of my most recurring symbols: trees, roots, and branches speak of origin, growth, and transformation. The feminine figure is a central presence in my work — not a specific woman, but an energy that gives life, sustains, and cares for everything around it.

The eye represents consciousness, an inner vision that lets us see beyond appearances. Color, too, is part of the message: each tone carries an intention meant to reach the viewer before the mind can process it.
