Biography

I am Spanish and have been living in London for over 15 years, where I have produced most of my artistic work. I am a professional artist, as well as a CBT psychotherapist, scientist, and science historian.

My artistic practice spans prints, oil paintings, and sculptures—ranging from portraiture and life studies to relief and abstract works. It is driven by a continual investigation into how life’s experiences shape emotions and thoughts over time. In my prints, this is explored through abstract lines; in my paintings, through colour and texture.

Experimental Colours Print, Printmaking, Ink on Other, 80 W x 52 H x 0.3 D cm

My work could be described as a search for symmetry within anarchy, or a channelling of emotion into a vibrant celebration of colour on canvas. The creative process is fun and intuitive, where loosely measured lines carry a message of constant transformation, a tree in full Autumn colour seems to break out of its painted frame, set against a grey, speechless background; or the dynamic sweep of a sugar-lift print evokes the free, nomadic spirit of gypsy life.

Endangered Species: The Lepard, Printmaking, Etching on Paper, 19W x 18H x 0.3D cm

At other times, the work plays with contrasts in geometry: the verticality of Battersea Power Station’s chimneys set against the curves of the clouds and the arches of the bridge. Each piece emerges from a cognitive encounter with the world around us.
