Her works are held in collections of private individuals, universities and corporations in the United States and in Europe. Much of her work comes from an “art for art’s sake” abstract expressionist perspective combined with what might be termed a mark makers sense of spirituality.

Artist Statement

For me, making marks is the initial objective. Finding images that speak to me in an intuitive and expressive manner remains the goal each time I work.

Figure Squared, 2024. Acrylic on canvas, 30.48 x 30.48.

I begin the process by listening to music, clearing, cleaning and adjusting studio work areas. I have found that removing older work from the studio area helps in clearing mental cobwebs that might block inspiration.

Grid Marks I, 2023. Mixed Media on paper, 60.96 x 60.96.

I think of myself as a painter or 2D artist first with no constraints. However, I also find working in 3D to be just as satisfying as painting or drawing or printing when I can physically handle the materials.
After years of creating work, I still find the beginning of a piece to be as exciting as I remember my first efforts.
