Interview with Caroline Boff

Caroline Boff is an emerging, international, contemporary UK artist. She paints from the heart and believes in the joys creating art can bring to herself and the viewer. She wants her paintings to alleviate suffering and bring happiness. She has been seen in Vogue, Vanity Fair, Tatler, House and Garden, Mayfair Life and Collection. She has just exhibited in Miami and New York and has upcoming exhibitions in New York and London.

Could you please introduce yourself and tell us how you started in the arts? And your first experience in art-making?

I'm Caroline Boff, an artist from North West England. I'm a self-taught artist and my first art-making experience was at primary school where art was my favourite subject.

How would you describe yourself and your artwork?

I'm an emerging, international, contemporary artist from the UK. I create bold, wondrous compositions filled with energy, feeling and colour.

Where do you get your inspiration from?

From anywhere, anything, any experience and the human condition.

What emotions do you hope the viewers experience when looking at your art?

I hope viewers feel happy, joy and free.

When do you know that an artwork is finished?

Instinct or when the vision in my head correlates with the vision on the canvas.

What has been the most exciting moment in your art career so far?

Being in British Vogue, Vanity Fair, Tatler, House and Garden and London Life. As well as exhibiting in Miami, New York and London.

How long does it take to produce one work?

Anything from an hour to one week.

What exciting projects are you working on right now? Can you share some of the future plans for your artworks?

I'm currently on the front cover of Rugbeian Floreat. I'm in London Life, again next month. Selling my work in the UK and USA.

Do you have any upcoming events or exhibitions we should know about?

Upcoming exhibitions in 'Women of the World', LinkedINYC, Tribeca, New York, a feature in the Art Collector's Choice, China.
Where do you see your art going in five years?

With a firm place on the international art stage.
