Artist Statement

I am deeply passionate about creating and sharing art that reflects the specific energy held within our earth and the universe. This energy has the ability to regenerate and align each and every one of us to the frequency of love.

What first prompted you to think of becoming an artist?

I've always enjoyed creating from the time I was at school but took a very different path once that was finished. It wasn’t until after I had my 2nd child and was in a job where creativity was fostered that I felt the pull to step back into it. Via creating mandalas I came upon the intuitive creative process and just adored it. From there I followed a journey exploring a range of modalities to where I am today. I feel like I'm yet to really step into being a true artist but maybe in the years to come.

What kind of an artist do you ultimately see yourself?

First and foremost I see myself as an intuitive artist, someone who's creations are purely guided by the energetics of the universe. This is who I am no matter the modality I am working in. It just happens that right now I'm enjoying digital platforms and movement art.

What are you hoping to communicate to the viewer through your work?

My work is such a deeply personal thing. The energy of each piece speaks to each person in a completely unique way to pass on their own unique message. I would hope that each person feels into the piece that calls to them to hear their unique message held within.

Can you explain the process of creating your work?

Sure! My intuitive process is very step by step based. I begin with a modality, which one I feel most drawn to whether that's pencil, crayon, digital programs, whatever excites me the most that day. I then choose a brush/colour pencil etc that I feel drawn to working with. Through this process I am able to connect in with the energy that wants to be channelled, which leads to receiving an image that serves as my guide as to a place to begin. I then start and allow the flow of energy come through me onto the page. If I am enjoying that particular colour/brush/drawing technique, I will do more of it. If not I will feel into what to change until the piece is complete. It's all about the feeling of the piece for me.

What is your favourite part of the creative process?

I actually love looking at a white screen/piece of paper etc. Yep I'm one of those crazy people. The anticipation of the unknown, having no idea what's going to come out. Feeling the energy building waiting to be released into form. This is my addiction which keeps me coming back each day.

Can you give us an insight into current projects and inspiration, or what we can look forward to from you in the near future?

I'm really inspired by movement art, I feel that is the next big thing. Instead of static art on a wall, we will have big TV screens to show video. There is so much more that can be conveyed, spoken and felt from a moving image. My passion is to take movement art as far as I can, to really revolutionise both the modality and the way in which art is generated and received.
