Michai Morin

Michai's work could be described as visually euphoric. A sort of optical "high." He refers to his art as both tone-setting and atmospheric. Neither description truly does justice to the out of body feeling you get when you stare into one of his works.

Interview with Josip Rubes

Josip Rubes was born in Jastrebarsko, Croatia in 1942 and is graduate painter and a retired doctor. He graduated from Medical Faculty of Zagreb in 1970. Rubes also studied Painting at the Arthous College of Visual Arts in Ljubljana, Slovenia, with his diploma thesis on Jackson Pollock Painting. Josip Rubes has been drawing and painting since his early youth.

I studied for 4 years and gained a first degree in fine art on the Isle of Man. The paintings I have been currently working on are a series called 'childhood dreams' and 'childhood memories'. I received my BFA degree from Fort Wright College, Spokane, WA and my MFA degree from Cranbrook Academy of Art, Bloomfield Hill, MI. Along the way, I attended Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture and New York Studio School of Drawing, Painting and Sculpture.
