Ronald Katz

Biography

Ronald Katz is a painter and printmaker based in New York City. He earned a BA in mathematics and art from Quees College, and studied at the Art Students League, Pratt Graphics, Parsons, and SVA.
Lithography, intaglio, and silk-monotype, oil, acrylic and watercolour painting are his primary favourite mediums. Strong background in science and classical music is also important and can be influential in his artistic endeavours.

Artist Statement

Diverse is the term best describing my work, inasmuch as abstraction, representation and figurative are all means to achieving my vision. Additionally, the subject matter can vary and includes aspects of the natural world, still life as well
interpretations and allusions to the history and art history.
