Biography
Marlo is a confirmed Avant-guard artist of Contemporary Expressionism.She has exhibited in :

Artist Statement

Marlo lives and works in Geneva, Swiss and of various european origins, married to a Greek. Born in an Art and music loving family she lived in various countries which meant quick adaptation and a curious, critical eye on surroundings and mentalities, She discovered the intimate pleasure and emotional outlet of paintings when 12 years old at school in the Italian speaking part of Switzerland, in Lugano. Later, when four years in Los Angeles, she chose art at UCLA with accent on personal creativity that suits her intuitive alla prima painting, letting inspiration surge from deep in herk. Living 4 years in Rome, she self- studied the Italian Renaissance masters and absorbed their mastery of colors and composition to transmit meaning to an artwork with the proper gesture to depict it’s essence. Techniques arise while the work is in progress either all prima or after mental maturation. Means are pastels, watercolors, inks, oil and acrylics. These are the poles of her art, with poetry as weft since she is also a many prized poet, After tragedy hit her children, thanks to painting and poetry she found the way back to life with increased expressiveness opening up to world happenings.
