Ana Nobre, born in Lisbon, Portugal in 1979. Graduated in Fine Arts-Painting, ESAD, in Caldas da Rainha, Portugal in 2006. About 5 years ago she moved to Algarve, Portugal. Since then, the mutation in her work has been remarkable. Made of contrasts, her painting reflects outbursts, critics… but always with a touch of fantasy.
Expression, color and rhythm are some of the main characteristics of her work. In these last 3 years she has been developing a line of paintings where the analysis of the society where she is inserted and her “self” in that society is very pronounced, being the fantasy always present in her way of doing it. Clowns, characters from the stories of our childhood and others from her alter ego emerge like an outburst! Individuality, dreams and emotions are, definitively the main theme of her work. Her work has been exhibited not only in Portugal but also in London, and in 2021 will be exhibited in Manhattan.
She has been rewarded with the Botticelli International Award this year, in Florence. Her biggest dream is that she can show her work all over the world, and to be able to live from her painting!
